The presentations were as follows:
- Francois Rivest – Fiat Lux (Gravity Lighting)
- Joel Varghese – Availability Analysis with Opportunistic Maintenance of a Two Component Deteriorating System
- Kiva Uhuru – Creative Destruction: A Case for Combat Robotics
- Manjap Singh – Autonomous Shopping Cart (Mechatronics Design)
- Pooja Jain – Technology for health
- Sean Lubner – Passive Daylight Cooling And Clean Water Generation Using Nanotechnology
- Amy Wat – Lighter, Energy-Efficient Material Inspired By Mother-of-Pearl
Due to the high standard set by all presenters, our three judges, Mr Allan Casey, Mr Kamal Rajan, and Ms Ashley Truxal had a very hard time deciding the eventual winner and runner up. After much deliberation, Sean Lubner was crowned the winner, and Francois Rivest was the runner up.
Special thanks to Sonia (who handled all the logistics, food and many other things); to our judges who gave up their Saturday afternoon; and most importantly tothe seven presenters who - without exception - were extremely talented and enjoyable speakers.
Finally we wish good luck to Sean Lubner in the next round of the PATW and hope to see him in London at the global final!!
