TAROS is the UK’s leading conference on Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS), which is aimed at the presentation and discussion of the latest results and methods in autonomous robotics research and applications worldwide. The conference welcomes senior researchers and research students alike, and invites paper submissions on different topics related to the principles and practice of robotics.
Dr Manuel Giuliani, Professor in Embedded Cognitive AI for Robotics at the Bristol Robotics Laboratory (BRL), University of the West of England, and General Chair of TAROS 2018 believes the conference is the perfect opportunity for research students and young research scientists to present their work to the scientific community.

The conference will be held in the vibrant city centre of Bristol, a city awarded the European Green Capital 2015 and hometown of the world-famous graffiti artist Banksy. Bristol and the West of England region are also known as the home to excellent universities, world-leading companies and globally recognised clusters in Aerospace and Advanced Engineering, High Tech, Creative and Digital, and Low Carbon Technologies.

The West of England region is a natural place for innovators and investors, as states Prof Chris Melhuish, Director of the Bristol Robotics Laboratory and member of TAROS Steering Committee.

TAROS 2018 proceedings will be published in the Springer Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence series. The submission deadline for long and short papers is the 2nd of February 2018.
