As IET SA Network Chairman Rob said: "“The event underlined the value women bring to engineering community and our continued commitment to supporting a diverse and inclusive workspace. We aim to hold more of these events in the future and welcome anybody involved with engineering to join the discussion.”

Speaker sharing about "Bring on your crazy ideas"
Comments from first year software engineering student from the University of Adelaide:
"I was quite compelled by Catherine's speech. She presented a really powerful message which, by exploring the obstacles which prevent females from pursuing a career in engineering and using her own experience as an example, showed me how not to be afraid of these obstacles and present my own "crazy ideas" to the world."
And
"No worries! I would love to join the IET as well if that's possible for a first year."
There were conversations going on everywhere. The speakers engaged the audience, there were some really good questions asked and discussed. See below some very positive comments from women who felt inspired by the speakers and the men did not feel excluded or isolated. The speakers even bounced ideas and their presentations off each other without
ever meeting before.
Ben, SA YP comented: ""When I entered the venue I could instantly feel the "buzz" in the room which felt full of people."

Speaker sharing knowledge with audience
Well done South Australia Network team and special thanks to SA YP Kyriaki Morias for coordinating the evening!
