IET Youth Mentoring Programme (YMP) 2019 - Mentor Recruitment
On behalf of the Students Section (Hong Kong) of the Institution of Engineering and Technology Hong Kong (IET Hong Kong), I am writing to invite you to be one of our mentors in the upcoming IET Youth Mentoring Programme. We are looking for mentors who are passionate about inspiring young engineers, and have more than five years of work experience in engineering industries.
Ever since 2011, YMP has helped hundreds of mentees develop professional relationships, strengthen technical knowledge, and improve personal skills. And with YMP 2018 breaking the record number of participants with over 100 joining, we are more than delighted to continue the momentum of the Youth Mentoring Programme. (check out the photos from the opening ceremony! https://goo.gl/SUuL7Z) This year, we are further improving the YMP format, reducing the mentor to mentee ratio from 1:5 to 1:3, allowing mentors and mentees to be even closer and have stronger relationships.
Being one of our YMP mentors, you will be grouped with three mentees, who are engineering undergraduates from local universities (including international students), to share your valuable life experience and expertise. Your patient guidance and sharing will certainly broaden mentees’ horizons and help their future career development.
Mentors will be invited to attend the following events, and your attendance is preferred:
