Popular TV presenter Rick Edwards hosted the Alice in Wonderland-themed ceremony and announced the winners, who were chosen from nearly 300 initial entries from 25 countries around the world.

Winners included Coventry-based Creavo Medical Technologies, who prevailed in both the Emerging Technology Design and Healthcare Technologies categories. Their cutting-edge non-invasive heart scanner is designed to help physicians accurately rule out serious heart conditions in a matter of minutes, much more rapidly than is currently possible.

Another dual-winner was Navtech Radar, whose automatic incident detection system triumphed in the Transport category as well as Navigation and Surveillance Communication. Unlike traditional technologies, it accurately detects vehicles, pedestrians, animals, and debris in all temperatures, weather conditions, and darkness/smoke/fog/gas along an entire highway. ClearWay enables highways agencies to implement “smart” motorways effectively, helping improve traffic flow and enhance safety.
