IoT Week 2014 is fast approaching. The IET is delighted to support IoT Week!



For the past 3 years, the IoT event has been the main forum for the international IoT community to come together to view new technologies, discuss trends in the market and network with peers from across the world. This year’s event will be held during London Technology Week, beginning the 16th June, at the prestigious Grange Tower Bridge Hotel in the heart of the city. 

 

IoT Week 2014 London promises to be the biggest event yet, with 5 separate tracks of seminars and workshops, alongside a 3 day hackathon and exhibition. The first day alone will feature presentations from leading innovators such as ARM, Flexeye, Grundfos Connnect, Orange and GE, and a panel session looking at applications of IoT in the Financial Services sector. The week also examines global IoT opportunities with participation from China, Brazil, Australia and South Korea; and the IoT innovation landscape from the Technology Strategy Board and European Commission.



As part of this week, you will meet Stephen Pattenden of the Smart Homes and Buildings Association:



Stephen Pattenden is Principal of Telemetry Associates Limited and has more than 25 years experience of systems and industry. including: Strategic Business Planning, Information and Intelligence in Utility, Assisted Living and the infrastructure, information and refurbishment of the built environment, Smart Energy Management and International and European Standards work for Home Systems and Smart Cities. He runs the Secretariat of Smart Homes & Buildings Association Limited and managed the successful IoT-Bay project which completed on 31st March. He has a MBA (Open University), MSc in Robotics and Flexible Manufacturing Systems (Loughborough University) and Honours Degree in ITC, Systems and Mathematics.



Stephen will speak on: smart cities, energy and transport in Westminster (IoT Bay) and waste and water in Turin.
