Realistically most of us fans will be watching footballs biggest stars from home – according to FIFA over 3 billion people watched the 2014 World Cup – and people around the world will be utilising the Internet of Things to watch the football – from smart remotes, to outside screens/ speakers to smart grills, cooking the food so you don’t miss a minute!

  • Teng Hwang Tan‍ Agreed! I think VAR has been a good thing in the World Cup (certainly increased the drama!), but it definitely needs refining - which should've really been done before the tournament.
  • It is fascinating to see the introduction of new technology (Internet of Things) on the football pitch. In my opinion, the VAR technology should be further improved to minimise the delay of the match gameplay.
