Monday, 17th September 2018, Muara - A total of 23 participants from Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) visited Butra Heidelberg Cement (BHC) Sdn Bhd, Serasa on 17th September 2018.The technical visit was conducted by IET-UTB On Campus (IUOC) with the aim of allowing participants to have a better understanding and to gain in-depth knowledge of the workings of the organization. The visit started off with a safety briefing that offered guidelines for participants in case of an emergency and stressed the importance of personal protective equipment (PPE) in the plant. This was followed by corporate and technical presentations detailing the cement processing steps in the plant. After the presentations, participants’ PPE were checked to ensure that they were compliant to the rules set forth by BHC Sdn. Bhd. before being given a complete tour of the grounds. At the end of the tour, a session of question and answers was had which ended with refreshments and photo taking.
