My name is Natalia D’Lima and I am the new Community Manager for the RF and Microwaves TPN.
I am new to the IET, based in the Stevenage office. I’ll let you know now that I’m not an engineer; I have come from a project management background, most recently at a market research agency in Hertfordshire.
Over the past few weeks, I have been immersing myself in the IET; as a large company with lots of different strands, there is a lot to learn!
As Community Manager, I will also looking after the Humber and North, West and South Yorkshire local networks, the Antennas and Propagation and Electromagnetics technical networks and a couple of newer ones as well: Cyber Security and Internet of Things.
Everyone I have met so far has been so welcoming and I am looking forward to meeting all the volunteers and member in the network!
I’ve already got a lot of the events in my diary, including Towards 5G Mobile Technology - Vision to Reality in January in London.
However my first foray into antennas will be Electro Modelling Event in Nottingham at the end of the month; I am looking forward to hearing the speakers and hopefully meeting many of you in person there.
For those I don’t see at that event, I hope to meet you in the near future!
