Germany Network members living in or near Munich might be interested in the MFI's regular monthly Stammtisch.
Here is Athol's e-mail with the details of the next meeting:
Dear MFI-Stammtischers,
The next MFI-Stammtisch will take place on Friday 1st April at 19:00. [This is not an April Fools joke since in my cultural area April Fools day finishes at noon, i.e. half a day, which I guess is part of the fooling!]

[U-Bahn station: Max-Weber-Platz, exit: "Einsteinstrasse". Use the platform exit at the east end, i.e. farthest from the Hauptbahnhof. If you get it right you will get to street level immediately in front of the Unions Bräu.]
And the reservation is under the name "Faraday". We will be in the main room on the ground floor, or more strictly speaking "Hochparterre". The rooms on the other floors (cellar and 1st floor) are still closed.
After closing in 2012, the Unions Bräu re-opened in December 2015 under new management and with a different menu style so I am hoping for a pleasant surprise, i.e. I have not tried it yet!
