Newcastle College have officially opened their new £5m Rail Engineering academy, the first in the North East.  This will be a regional hub for railway engineering training and development.



The Academy will offer a Level 3 Diploma in rail engineering which will be suitable for all age groups and aims to develop engineering apprenticeships with a rail focus plus higer education qualifications tailored specifically to the needs of the industry.
