Here are a few photos from the 2-day event which took place last week at the new beacon of Light building in Sunderland. The event attracted over 60 local engineering/technology exhibitors as well as over 2500 school children across the North East, promoting engineering as a career.

Our stand was well attended which was exhibiting a working; rotating 3-D laser printed model jet engine with throttle control and condition monitoring sensors, an Arduino unit programmed to playback names typed in morse code and a working sterling engine and a large TV monitor showing engineering related videos.

An unexpected visitor was Tony Roche, the new IMechE President to see at first hand an event involving the joint engineering institutions.
