Hello everyone, I thought I would take some time to throw a spotlight on some of our Cyber Security publications. Over the years the Codes & Guidance team has worked on many publications in this important sector, and I think many of them will be of interest to the practitioners out there.

Code of Practice: Cyber Security and Safety

Written in conjunction with the National Cyber Security Centre, this Code of Practice helps engineers and their management to get to grips with their responsibilities around a cyber-attack. Filled with information on the principles of functional safety and cyber security, this book is aimed at becoming a valued resource as time goes on.

Good Practice Guide: Cyber Security for Ports and Port Systems

While not necessarily an area that is commonly associated with Cyber Security, Ports and Port Systems was a publication that was keenly awaited when we published it. Written in conjunction with the Department of Transport and the Defence, Science and Technology Laboratory this publication was written in response to cyber-attacks at European ports.

Code of Practice: Cyber Security in the Built Environment – revised second edition

Another publication written in conjunction with the National Cyber Security Centre, this second edition of our popular Code of Practice deals with how important cyber security is to the maintaining of intelligent buildings. This book aims to be as clear and practical as possible to aid the practitioner in their work.

Each of these books have been written by industry insiders, with help from a full working group of companies and organisation representing many stakeholders in the area.

Cyber Security is, of course, an ever changing sector, and we plan to keep publishing both new editions of our existing books and also publications looking into new areas.

Oh, and I haven’t mentioned the best part! Every one of the books I’ve mentioned here are free to download from our website in PDF format.
