Get Easter off to a cracking start with our fantastic resources designed for both primary and secondary-aged students. To give you even more reasons to be hoppy, these resources now also include a step-by-step activity guide for families to follow as well as some brand new bonus games including crosswords, wordsearches and mazes which can be enjoyed both at home and in the classroom.

For children aged 4-11 there’s a graphics project to design a pop-up Easter card. Or you can let their creativity flow as you use papier mâché and a balloon to make an Easter egg to decorate or help link words or numbers on cracked eggshells.

Older teens can enjoy chocolate and egg themed activities including building a simple catapult to fire chocolate, design and build a structure to protect an egg as it falls from a great height or, for those who like to live in the fast lane, develop an egg transporter to race.

Wait! There’s more!

After all that chocolate, you’ll be needing some exercise! So, with this year’s London Marathon in mind, we have created some new resources under the theme of ‘sport’.

Young learners can consider modern and smart materials when designing an eye-catching charity costume to run in or introduce mapping by highlighting landmarks around our capital that participants will pass along their journey.

The older sports fans can learn about the use of search engine research while designing a racing wheelchair and looking at key aspects to enhance its performance, or design the trainers of the future.

Whatever you choose to do this Spring, we’ve got a STEM themed activity to do along the way. And do remember to share any activity highlights with us on social media @IETeducation or send them via email to IETEducation@theiet.org
