In this regard, we are now recruiting members to be mentors for engineering students this year. As a mentor:
Your role is to take care of 1-2 mentees.
You are also requested to meet the mentees minimal 3 times during the Mentorship Programme. Forms of meeting include phone, email, fax and periodical self-arranged meetings between mentors and mentees
You will need to provide support for mentees in their academic, professional and career development, and provide insights of the ‘real world beyond books’ and extending their learning outside campus.
These young people are likely to be our IET student members. This is a support of community services and demonstration of our members’ professionalism and commitment! The Memorandum of Understanding for the Mentorship Programme Signing Ceremony c** the first meeting for mentors and mentees is tentatively set at 28 February 2015. Both MIET and TMIET are welcome.
