Today's speaker highlight focuses on Rita Morgado da Silva MEng CEngRita Morgado da Silva is a Mechanical Engineer, currently working as Lead Systems Engineer, MR Linac Beam Generation, Elekta Ltd where she has worked for the past 8 years.


Her current area of professional experience/interest include Beam Generation, Reliability, Hardware & Infrastructure and Covers & User Interfaces, Environmentally Conscious Design- circular economy and eco design.


Prior to working at Elekta, Rita has worked for Pfizer, Volkswagen and University of Surrey Medical Engineering Department.


Out of work, Rita enjoys playing competitive volleyball (indoor and beach), travelling the globe, snowboarding, cooking (and eating), hiking, reading and listening to music.


Rita will deliver her presentation on Designing a sustainable Linac and will cover the opportunities for sustainable engineering in a high volume Linac business with a look at real case studies and examples in MRLinac and Linac products from Elekta.


Closing with a look into the future and additional potential areas of focus.
