Steven Carter - Manufacturing System Specialist - SMART Factories for Rolls-Royce Plc 



Steve's presentation is entitled  "Industry 4.0, an end-user’s perspective” and will focus on Industry 4.0 from a Rolls-Royce Plc prospective and what we see as current state capabilities, challenges & future developments.


Steve also sites on the the IET Controls & Automation Exec Panel Team.   He is a professional accredited engineer with over 18 years’ experience as a technical specialist of delivering integrated automation-manufacturing systems and developing manufacturing processes, within the Aerospace & Automotive industrial sectors.  


Having worked for an array of global blue chip companies either directly; Michelin Tyre PLC, Rolls-Royce Plc or as supplier consultant within a global turnkey automation systems integrator COMAU (Fiat S.p.A group).   Within his current role within Rolls-Royce Plc in the last 5 years he has been an automation, equipment, controls & manufacturing systems technical specialist and now focuses on defining company central “SMART” Digital Manufacturing strategies within the manufacturing space along within working with the AxRC network and supplier partners.
