Learning & development is our passion in the courses team. That… and cake.

We love to design and deliver training to anyone looking to expand their skillset, update their knowledge and carry out CPD. All in bite sized chunks that are easy to digest. Oh - just like cake!

From preparing to become professionally registered, giving back to the industry as a Mentor, to getting your technical report writing skills honed. If it develops your skills, then we are a happy team. The most rewarding part of our job is hearing the great success stories from our delegates. Whether that be gaining an in depth understanding of how to gain professional registration, right through to achieving that goal. It’s what gets us out of bed in the mornings! (well that & coffee of course!)

We are driven to keep producing & delivering great courses by the people. People like you. Each with your own unique story, career history & aspirations in this vast field of engineering & technology. Each course we deliver educates us as much as you. Hearing the amazing projects, you work on is always captivating often mind blowing. To be able to be a part of your story in becoming professionally registered, is an honour.

We deliver online training courses to reach everyone with a desire to progress, across the globe. We no longer say ‘good morning’ to our delegates as for many, our morning is their evening. A ‘welcome to our course’ is far more inclusive. We have replaced a ‘lunch’ break during the course with a ‘cake’ break! Cake is good at any time of the day, right?

In all our courses, all questions are encouraged, and discussions are welcomed. It is a safe environment with likeminded people. It has also been said that our internal trainers provide virtual doughnuts too!

Whilst we have a large portfolio of courses to offer, I would like to focus two that will support you as you work towards Professional Registration, to showcase your competence and enhance your career

Firstly, our ‘Preparing for Professional Registration’ course. It does what it says on the tin! Anyone looking to become professionally registered (CEng, IEng, EngTEch or ICTTech) will benefit from this course. Whether you are 5 years from applying or think you are almost ready, we will equip you with all the knowledge you need in how to do this.

Delivered online over two mornings, our Professional Skills trainers will deliver this interactive & engaging course. Covering everything from membership, UKSPEC, competences (in the form of a cake, of course), how the IET process your application, writing evidence, through to putting you in touch with our Professional Registration Engagement Manager for 1-1 support. Together we collaborate to embed the learning, support you and get you to a place where you are ready to apply.

Once you are ready to apply, we recommend attending our ‘Writing Evidence for Professional Registration’ course. This course really gets you thinking about how to highlight your fantastic work, within the 12-page limit and de-classifying your evidence so as not to reveal any sensitive information. We use detailed case studies and examples of how to keep your evidence clear, concise & action oriented. With group activities and plenty of time to ask questions, this course is essential to equip you with the IET guidance and expert knowledge provided by our trainers.

Why not get a slice of the action & sign up to our courses or ask your company to book us to come to you exclusively. Browse our courses at Professional Registration courses (theiet.org)

Let us do some myth busting whilst you gain new skills, get up to date knowledge and get working on achieving your professional registration. Invest some time in yourself. Enjoy a virtual doughnut (zero calories) & take a cake break!

Many of our delegates tell us they have been “meaning to apply for Professional Registration for years but….”  sound familiar?
