The IET Achievement Medals celebrate the incredible talent within engineering and technology, and there is a wide range of categories to recognise people who have made a real impact in their industry, academia or as an IET Volunteer.

Winning is about much more than just receiving a medal; it can boost careers, promote companies, and inspire others into engineering. What it would mean to someone you know?

Richard Harris, 2024 Achievement Medal winner said about his win, "It felt amazing to have my passion for innovation and education recognised. This award means so much to me because it highlights the impact of bringing engineering to the forefront of students' learning experiences, and it reaffirms the power of education to inspire future innovators".

The IET wants to hear about the person you know who has done something amazing and stands out from their peers for the work they do.

Do you know someone who has made history with a notable scientific/industrial achievement in any field, the advancement of engineering/technology or a lifetime achievement in science, engineering or technology? They could be our next Faraday Medal winner. Or are they making a difference in their career and achieveing something no one else has? Nominate them for an IET Achievement Medal, there are up to five available each year and they can be given in any category.

Or is someone you know making waves in their early career and really excelling? There are two medals for early career professionals, and these also come with a monetary prize!

There are also two medals available for IET Volunteering, the IET Volunteer Medal and the Paul Fletcher Medal for early career volunteers. Is your candidate dedicating themselves to their volunteering role and achieving great things in support of the IET?

Whoever they are, and whatever they are doing the IET wants to hear about them. Complete the online form and let us know why they should win and they could be joining us at the Achievement Awards ceremony in London in October.
