Lee Murton, Chairman of our Young Professionals group recently attended an International Cross Safety Conference over in Amsterdam and has captured some content by way of podcasts and a blog for our Aerospace group area which we’ll publicise in this area in our next blog. David Lindley, TPN Chairman was one of the keynote speakers at the event which was organised by the Aviation Academy, Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
On 14 November we had an evening seminar over at Rolls Royce in Derby on ‘Winning at Concurrent Product Development’ hosted by Jonathan Watson, Aerospace Executive team member, who was joined by two additional speakers. We weren’t able to film on this occasion but Jonathan will be posting a blog in due course.
We also recently had an Aerospace Executive team meeting hosted by Andy Mills one of our volunteers who works for University of Sheffield. We had an excellent opportunity to explore the Diamond Centre at the University which is certainly an impressive building both inside and out. We’ve been revising our list of hot topics both current and emerging which we’ll be using to define next session’s business plan. Bob Darby one of our volunteers flew into the meeting again via the nearest airfield.
Finally, we’re still looking for new volunteers for the Aerospace Executive Team, specifically either in the airline industry, MoD or serving members of the Armed Forces, so if you’re interested please check out our briefing note here.
Lee is also keen to recruit new members from all areas of the Aerospace sector for the Young Professionals group. I hope to hear from you if you’re interested in any of these vacancies.
