It got me wondering what other Electric Aircraft and solar powered ones there were and having been on the web its excellent to see that there are so many developmental and production projects out there, although far too many to list in one blog but some to note:

Solar Impulse 2

The only airplane of perpetual endurance, able to fly day and night on solar power, without a drop of fuel.  I like their video.

Alpha Electro –and Taurus Electro developed by Pipistrel a leader in electric aircraft production and development.

There’s also the first green Helicopter E-Volo which is an environmentally friendly and emission- free private helicopter and there’s some great videos on their website of its development flights.

The Aerospace Network are organising a daytime seminar on All Electric Aircraft on 28 January 2016 in London so if you’ve an interest in this area, we hope to see you there.  For further details and to register click here
