This year, YPS Malaysia is honored to have three of its OC groups shortlisted for IET Campus Group of the Year Award. The teams are University of Southampton Malaysia OC, Swinburne Sarawak OC, and University Tunku Abdul Rahman OC.


The IET On Campus Group of the Year Award is a way of recognising and rewarding the IET On Campus student group that has gone above and beyond the rest between 30 April 2018 – 30 April 2019.


OCs who applied for the award were required to answer four questions, with appropriate descriptions and elaborations. Elements include:


(1) Most successful event of the year

(2) Most engaging social media post

(3) A time the OC has collaborated

(4) The greatest challenge the OC has overcome


Winner will grab £1,000 to spend on an activity of their choice, and every member in the OC will receive a trophy and a certificate.


All of the OCs have done a splendid job, organizing all kinds of activities that benefit members and non-members.


University of Southampton Malaysia OC had recently organized Huawei Malaysia Seeds for the Future Briefing Session for University of Southampton Malaysia.


Meanwhile, Swinburne Sarawak successfully organized Faraday Challenge Sarawak State Finale 2019, becoming the first in East Malaysia to run the Faraday Challenge.


University Tunku Abdul Rahman OC had just organized their IoT and CEng registration talk, attracting participants from various engineering backgrounds.


It is an achievement to IET Malaysia. Hope that all OCs will continue the good work and strive to be outstanding.
