Toyota is following the example made by Tesla in 2014, by freely sharing nearly 6,000 patents it owns which cover hydrogen fuel cell technology.



The announcement came after its showcase of the Miraj hydrogen driven car at CES 2015 in Las Vegas.



The portfolio of patents covers fuel cell stacks, high pressure hydrogen talks, software control systems and industrial processes in generating/supplying the gas.
