I also managed to spend some time having a go in the simulator docking the Soyuz spacecraft to the International Space Station. I was surprised that even with my slightly numb fingers I managed it first time and have the certificate to prove it. That will be a great memento of an excellent conference. I was just so disappointed to have to leave on the Saturday due to another engagement on Sunday. Sarah Singleton one of our Satellite TPN volunteers was also tempted to have a go in the simulator as well.
Looking forward to the announcement later this summer as to the venue for the 2020 conference.

Together with the BIS, SUN and UKSEDS, the IET are joining together to deliver the UK selection for the individual competition. To assist in covering some of their travel expenses, prizes of £1000 will be presented to each of the winners on their arrival in Washington. The deadline for entries is 29 March 2019 and further information and how to submit an entry can be found here
