UniMAP IET OnCampus was officially established in year 2018. It was formed by a group of students from School of Electrical Engineering who joined the IET with invitation from Ir. Mohd Shihabuddin Ismail to establish On Campus group.
Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) is a Malaysian public institution of higher learning located in state of Perlis. It was previously known as Kolej Universiti Kejuruteraan Utara Malaysia. It was established as the 17th Public Institution of Higher Learning in Malaysia on 25 July 2001. UniMAP offer mainly offer engineering and engineering technology program in diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate level. UniMAP have 2 semesters per year with different academic calendar between undergraduate and diploma student. Undergraduate engineering and engineering technology student in UniMAP require to study for 8 semesters to complete the program with 10 weeks of industrial training for engineering student in third year semester break and 1 semester for engineering technology student.
Perlis the smallest state in Malaysia located at the northern part of the Peninsular Malaysia. Perlis also close to the Satun and Songkhla Provinces of Thailand on its northern border. Perlis is ruled by the House of Jamalullail. Unlike other Malaysian monarchical states, in which the ruler is a "Sultan", the Perlis ruler is called the "Raja". The population in Perlis is estimated at 254,400 people with density of 310/km2. The main attractions in Perlis are Gua Kelam limestone cave and Kuala Perlis, one of the jetties for depart to Langkawi island which have various seafood menu offer at lower price and great place for fishing spot. The Perlis local specialty is “Harum Manis” mango, the sweetest mango produced locally in Malaysia. It usually served together with glutinous rice as a light snack.
