Being a volunteer for a Local Network can be a great way of:
- networking with likeminded people in your industry;
- finding out more about all of the opportunities that the IET can bring;
- developing the skills needed to achieve your goals
We are looking for retired members and welcome applications to help with
- Developing the networks annual strategy
- Engaging in physical and virtual executive team meetings
- Using your professional network of contacts to arrange activities, to engage with engineering and technology professionals
- Contributing content via MyCommunity, the IET’s professional networking and collaboration platform and the new online home for networks
- Working with other professional institutions to deliver technical activities to engineering and technology professionals
Don’t worry if you have never volunteered before, we have a number of experienced members who would be happy to show you around and ensure you receive training.
