Are you interested in becoming involved in the first ever Scottish International Airshow STEM Week?

This event is on from Monday 29 August until Friday 2nd September and is open to schools from across the west and central Scotland and the IET are hoping to host a Career Stand in the Careers Zone and we are looking for members who will engage with the pupils to discuss careers / options / routes into engineering and personal careers observations.

More information on the event can be found at Scottish International Airshow STEM week.

What we are looking for is a call for volunteers to establish that we can provide stand cover and once we are confident that this can be done we would confirm the time slots, order the materials, pupils and teachers literature and stand dressing equipment, and make another event announcements.

The event will comprise of an exhibition space with an Aerospace Zone, a Life Sciences Zone and a Renewables Zone.

Each Zone will have exhibitors from industry who will have interactive displays and who will be able to talk to pupils about careers in STEM and pathways to different job roles.  So, if you can advise pupils in any of these areas and would like to get involved, please get in touch.
