Welcome the new committee both main committee and YPS, Chris Chew being the Chair of the Main Committee and S.Y Leow being the Chairperson for the YPS.


Meeting with main committee was held after the AGM, we had a good meeting and discussion about what areas to focus and they shared about some of the hot topics of the Network such as Railway, Power, IoT, Smart grid..etc.   Since the CEng applications have been increasing in the past few years so one of the the key discussion points was we all agreed that Professional Registration and CPDs should be one of the key focuses for the Network.








I had a good meeting with YPS.  Great to meet the energetic On Campus representatives from Uniten, UTAR, UCSI and MMU.   I gave an update about the IET news highlighted Global Challenge, On Campus Group of the Year award and key strategies relevant to YPs and students.  We had a good discussion about 2017 events such as events supporting the transition of students and YPs into engineering careers, YPS will organise events such as inviting Senior Engineers to share their Engineer journey with the YPs and students.
