IET EngXTm is the new and improved professional online resource that connects you to other engineers throughout the world to call on for help during your career when you need it most.

Log in with your usual IET log in details at https://engx.theiet.org to create your community profile. Select your interests and specialisms so you can personalise the content you see on your homepage.

When you log in, you’ll see a personalised activity feed on your homepage containing content from all around the community related to the interests you’ve selected. Updating your interests is easy. Visit your profile and select ‘edit’ to amend your technical interests and specialisms as well as share a little more about yourself in your biography

Research shows that early career engineers are turning to search engines for quick answers to help them at work. This isn't always successful, and it can be difficult to understand how qualified answers can be. You can help! Add your technical specialisms to your profile and we’ll highlight questions on your personal homepage that you can help to answer!

Want to see everything happening in the community? Click on ‘view all’ in the activity feed and you’ll see all recent activity and newly added content.

Visit our Engineering forums to ask questions and discuss topics with engineers across the globe. Also, when posting in our Engineering Discussions Forum, don’t forget to apply tags to your posts to share them with those who share your interests.  Have a question about the IET Wiring Regs? You’ll find those here: https://engx.theiet.org/f/wiring-and-regulations

Subscribe to a daily or weekly digest and you’ll receive an email containing any new articles, blog posts, events or discussions tailored to your interests.

The IET EngX team

  • Hi Marcelle. Apologies for the late response, I've been out of the office for a few weeks and have just seen your comment. Apologies also that you're having trouble with the forum. I'm not able to receate your experience using the phones available to me but would love to run through your set up so we can identify what's going wrong. If you could contact my colleague  either here or on community-online@theiet.org we'll get it sorted out.

  • Trying to navigate EngX from my phone to ask a question I am not having a very good experience.  I wrote my question I had issues with the field where I wrote my questions being hidden by another box. In an attempt to return to completing my question my question was lost so I have to completely rewrite. Not a good experience at all. Very disappointing Disappointed

  • A lot of work by staff which was not approved by Front Line Members and has so many faults and problems. A disaster

  • Excited to get started on the new platform Evanna! Well done to you and the team for launching an amazing project Slight smile
