In terms of succession planning, Phil Cutcher the outgoing Chairman handed over the chair to David Lindley mid-year who and found the time to film this video and Alexis Colyer  and Janice Man  joined the Executive Team.

Lee Murton set up and is now chairing a Young Aerospace Professionals Group

with Sam Lee and Chia Loon Leng joining Lee on the Group.

During 2015 the Network volunteers found time to organise the following events:

  • Future of Aviation Technology Conference in Singapore – joint with Singapore Network and British High Commission see issue 39, page 18 via this link

  • Military Aviation Authority Airworthiness Requirements and Intricacies – joint with Bristol Network

  • Visits to RAF Benson and RNAS Yeovilton

  • UAV conference session at Aviation Electronics Europe – joint with RAeS Germany Network and AEE

Amongst the partnerships they have been or are developing:

  • Working with IET China office and Tsinghua University to provide input into an All Electric Aircraft Workshop in China

  • Aerospace Partnership with RAeS and IMechE – linking up with IMechE’s UAV Challenge competition in 2016

  • Working again with IET Swindon Network’s RIAT stand at Fairford

To deliver such a busy programme of activities requires commitment from volunteers.  The YP Group are currently looking for committee members and the Executive Team will be seeking new members mid-way through 2016.  If you are interested please contact Deborah-Claire McKenzie

On behalf of the Aerospace TPN I would like to wish you all the best for the New Year and hope that you will continue to give your support to the volunteers who dedicate their time in organising this programme by coming along to an activity in 2016.
