- Friday, 18th January 2019 –A total of 23 students from UTB on Campus visited Labi Coffee Farm, Brunei's only local source for coffee beans. The students were able to tour the 19-hectare farm and demonstrated how the beans are harvested and treated before they are sent to their processing facility. The coffee beans are exported to countries such as Vietnam, China, Japan, and even as far as Canada.
- Friday, 25th January 2019 – A total of 14 On Campus students attended a training on how to tackle fear of public speaking (glossophobia) and delivering an effective presentation.
- Sunday, 27th January 2019 – YPS Brunei LN organised a social gathering to strengthen bonds between YPS and on campus group. Jevons (YPS Vice Chairperson) and Tay (Chair YPS) both gave some motivational talk and tips on how to secure a job.
- Saturday, 16 Feb 2019 – A total of 13 members and 7 non-members of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Brunei Local Network (LN) was treated with an exciting glimpse into the future by Daphne T.C. Lai, a researcher from the Faculty of Science at Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) & Dk Rafidah binti Pg Hj Petra, a lecturer in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB). The technical talk, organised by IET Brunei LN was aimed to share knowledge and to network with students and professionals in the public and private sector in the various Science Engineering and Technology (SET) fields.
- Saturday, 2 Mar 2019 – A total of 15 IET members and 3 non IET members visited Bukit Panggal Power Station. The group was first given safety briefing by the power station’s Head of Health, Safety and Environment Unit, followed by a technical presentation, which touched on various topics including the overview and facilities of the power station as well as the operational activities and management of the Bukit Panggal Power Station. The group also tour the water treatment bay, chemist room, gas turbine area, heat recovery steam generator (HRSG), steam generator, air cooler condenser, control room and switchyard.
- Saturday, 9th March 2019 – IET Brunei organized a technical visit to Kingston Beverage & Creamery Sdn. Bhd. A total of 19 IET Members joined the technical visit. The group was first being given a video presentation, which explained on the technology and equipments that are being used in the production of ice cream. The group also tour the production line of the ice cream.
- Sunday, 17th March 2019 - A total of 8 participants competed in Present Around The World (PATW) 2019 Brunei Local Heat. Judges were Major Wan Farhan Haji Ibrahim (IET Brunei Honorary Assistant Secretary 18/19), Edwin Lim (founder of Soapbox Company – dealing with improving communication skills ) and Ir. Rick Liaw Ing Haur (engineer from Hamzah Hasan Consultant). Tokens of appreciation and certificates are presented to the judges and participants by Dr Tang Shi Siong, Chairperson of IET CCAP.
