During 2014, the ARTS TPN had the opportunity to get involved and support a number of excellent activities:

 
Road User Charging in UK, Europe and USA Seminar

ibus System  lecture in Bath – joint with Somerset & West Wiltshire Network

 

Pete James the TPN Chairman gave a talk at a conference in Canada and presented a TPN award for Best Endeavour to the University of Ohio, Electric Motorcycle Racing team ‘Buckeye Current’.


 
EVs and their Appetite for Power – this event was held in Milton Keynes joint with the Buckinghamshire Network and three speakers gave different perspectives on this topic.
  
MotoERacing – the Network supported this new Electric Motorcycle racing series which culminated in a series finale at Silverstone.  You can access some great footage via the link, including a ride around Silverstone on one of the bikes and participate in a debate on ‘Why Electric bikes are better than Petrol bikes’.  


  

Plans for 2015, the Network are currently developing events on:

Telematics – to be held at University of Sunderland in March 2015
Peak Car Usage – hosting a session at Traffex on 22 April 2015
Intelligent Mobility in Smart Cities – seminar in London  in late May/early June 2015
MotoERacing – the 2015 series will be commencing mid-summer and the TPN are planning to support the series once again.
