The SWGS careers conference took place on Wednesday 20th November with speakers from a range of backgrounds (Lawyer, BA pilot, Scientist, Engineer, Architect). Aimed at Year 12s and certain students from Years 11 and 13, the students were split down into groups of around 15 and attended talks which were most relevant to their career plans. 2 committee members ran 3 sessions talking about their careers in engineering, their career paths, the field of work and a bit about the IET too. A successful event hoping to inspire the next generation of engineers!
