Join us as a Professional Development Scheme Accreditation Assessor for the IET and play a key role in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of professional development pathways worldwide.

In this role you will review and evaluate organisational schemes against IET accreditation standards. Working collaboratively with other assessors, you will apply agreed criteria to identify high-quality schemes that align with professional registration requirements and provide constructive recommendations for improvement where needed.

You must be a member of the IET and Professionally registered as CEng, IEng, EngTech or ICTTech to apply for this volunteer opportunity  

Assessors will be invited to observe one Professional Development Operations Committee meeting and participate in at least two full accreditation visits. In addition, they will be required to complete mandatory online training modules covering key topics such as Data Protection and Equality & Diversity

The role typically requires a minimum of five days per year, including preparation, attending accreditation visits (usually two days each), and report writing. Travel within the UK and internationally may be required, and all expenses are covered.
