Are you working or studying in the field of Control and Automation?  Are you passionate about supporting the community?  Do you have 3-4 days per year that you can volunteer to attend committee meetings and organise activities?  We’d love to hear from you!

The IET Control & Automation Network is seeking professional engineers working in this field to join our Executive Team. By volunteering for this role, you will be representing the interests of the community as a member of the IET and a registrant of the Network and we would like to invite you to put yourself forward for this very rewarding opportunity.

What is the role of the Network?

The role of the Network is to provide a platform that enables the exchange of knowledge and information amongst the community through a variety of networking opportunities. This is done through a number of physical and on line activities which allow you to develop and extend your existing knowledge of engineering within the control & automation sector, network with like-minded individuals and share knowledge and experiences with others.

What is expected of an Executive Team Member?

Executive Team members act as ambassadors for the Network and wider IET community. As part of the team we participate in various activities such as: engaging in physical and virtual Executive Team meetings to develop the Network's on-going strategy, source and deliver new content for the IET website with a particular focus on developing the MyCommunity forums to support professional engineering networking opportunities.
