CEng Registration

Dear All,

I am applying CEng Registration and I need clarification on the following issues

(1) I can't find a PRA from my designated area, is it ok if I approach one from another region?

(2) I have and B.Eng. and two MSc. degrees-How do I know my school is accredited, is there a list for accredited institutions?
(3) I have a number of publication in my Company’s monthly bulletin-Does this count as part of published documents or it has to be in a recognized Engineering journal?
(4) How do I use the Career manager to generate a development action plan? I have circled round this severally without headway
(5) How do I generate an Assessment Summary Report? Is there a link to this or do I have to write by myself?

  • Hi Kathryn, Alasdair.

I see now what I did wrong last night, I'd only created a Goal, without adding activities. Now I've added an activity I can see it in the report.

I tend to find most candidates I work with already have a good CPD plan (usually just called a development plan or similar) as part of their employer's annual review / appraisal system, so I generally suggest they just attach that rather than using Career Manager (unless they particularly want to use CM for personal reasons). As long as the development activities are somewhat aligned to the UK spec competences, which they usually are.

    Thanks,

    Andy
