Engineering Technician (EngTech) for Electricians

Hi,

I'm thinking about going for the Engineering Technician (EngTech) for Electricians. Have anybody gone for it before if so, wot is the process to gain it.

I used to do domestic installation before moving over to panel building , now i do electrical design and plc programming for the railways.

any help would be great

  • Hi,

This is process is pretty simple as I've just done it recently and the post above explained it as it is. I'd also advise you claim tax back on the gov website for professional memberships on it as well.

Irrelevant to the question though, I'd like to ask how you progresses into electrical design and programming? I'm currently an electrical technician on shift after completing my apprenticeship and now I'm looking to progress further into more specialised roles such as design and plc programming etc
