CEng PRI (Professional Registration Interview) Timeline - Significant Delays

Dear Sir/Madam,

I hope this message finds you well.

I have been experiencing a significant delay in my CEng PRI (Professional Registration Interview) arrangement. I wonder if anyone else is in a similar situation. I would be grateful for any advice or information from anyone who has been through a similar process. 

Here is my timeline: 

* 11/2023: Submitted my CEng application; Paid IET membership fees on same day per request. It mentioned that it may take 20-22 weeks for the PRI arrangement (assume is 22 week, that will be May 2024 latest)

* 01/2024: CEng Application Acknowledgement

* 02/2024: progressed to Professional Review Interview

* 03/2024: I asked for an update on PRI arrangement

* 03/2024: IET replied: "We are fully booked for April and are aiming to hold your interview in May 2024."

* 05/2024: I asked for an update on the PRI arrangement again

* 07/2024: Today. No any response, no any updates. 

I am aware that IET is volunteer-based, but I feel that this process could be improved. As an IET member, I feel that the member experience could be enhanced. This delay is preventing me from making my work/travel plan for the next stage, as the PRI "may" come at any time.


Could anyone advise me on how I should proceed? I would be very grateful for any advice.

    As discussed yesterday offline, we are experiencing some delays in securing dates for applicants in some discipline areas due to the availability of volunteers Interviewers.  As agreed with you, we have now scheduled a date for your Professional Review Interview in July.

    I am also experiencing the same issue with the delayed PRI arrangement. My situation is even worse. I would be grateful for any advice or information that can be obtained through this platform.

    Please find my timeline below:

    Aug 2023: CEng Application Submitted

    Nov 2023: Progressed to Professional Review Interview

    June 12, 2024: I requested an update on my PRI via email and was informed that IET staff would contact me by June 13, 2024.

    June 13, 2024: No one from IET contacted me.

    June 18, 2024: I inquired about my PRI status via email but did not receive a response.

    July 31, 2024: Several messages were sent to IET, but I have still not received a response or update.

    I understand that IET may be experiencing delays in securing dates to arrange volunteer interviewers in some disciplines. However, I hope to receive some advice or guidance on the situation I am facing. Thank you.

    I am also experiencing the same situation. There is no auto reply receipts for emails I am sending requesting for update for PRI date. All my learning programs are not on now due to this PRI preparation.
