Machine Tool installations

I am investigating how machine tool installations should be tested and inspected. I have asked several equipment manufacturers about test certificates and they look at me blankly. In general what I have found is that the supply is tested and certified to the isolator/switchfuse feeding the machine but when the equipment is connected, there is no testing carried out on the actual kit. Does anybody have any thoughts/experience in this area. This also covers periodic inspection. I have used BS EN 60204 as a basis when I have discussed with Machine tool manufacturers.

    EN 60204 requires testing and verification (section 19) including continuity of the protive bonding circuit and insulation resistance. The tests shall also be carried out after any modifications. The requirement for test and inspection certainly exists. It doesn't look like it is being implemented.
