Krone started making them in Germany then TE took over in 2010 followed by CommScope in 2015, I am really of the mind that, as a connector, they are obsolete now.
I am looking for a rapid board to wire connection system, IDC would have been wonderful but failing that wire-wrap is my current default, so any other ideas would be most welcome. Due to the nature of the project manufacture must ideally be European.
Thank you for the link however I need to be able to terminate wires individually. the nice thing about the telecom IDC was the tool also cut the end of the wire off. I really would like to be able to source the telecom ones but PCB mounted rather than frame mounted. With the quantities involved it is possible if we can find a manufacturer that we could commission a special.
ADC/Krone are now CommScope, I have been in touch with them and they don't seem to have what I want which is the PCB mount, i.e. wire to board rather than wire to wire which seems that is all they do.
They are of interest, I must say they don't look very rugged and are probably more aimed at light duty equipment, however, I'll get in touch with them and see if I can get a sample. Maybe they may do something a bit more robust.
Sorry for the delay in replying, I really cannot remember who it was, I am guessing that it was a branch of Molex, I have looked in my journal but I do not have a record of who I made contact with, it was all probably done via e_mail, unfortunately I am no longer with the company I was with so have no access.
All I can tell you they were the Molex Katt series and are still available.
