    Hi, I'm Claire!

I'm a Development Engineering Manager in Air to Air Refuelling.  I have 12 years experience in industry, a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and am waiting to here if I got my CEng (interviewed in May).  My background is predominantly in System Integration testing, particularly Fuel systems, and I currently lead a team of 15 systems engineers for a new tanker programme.  I also mentor a number of graduates and systems engineers within the company, helping them with their development plans and ensuring they seek out good opporunites within the company.

I've been involved in some STEM and WES events in the past, and trying to get back into it.  I'm currently planning a "A Day in the Life of... a Woman in Aerospace" event for local school girls to come to our company and meet the women in engineering to show them what it's really like and the variety of engineering roles there are; quietly hoping to dissolve the stereotype!

Happy to chat about development, mech eng, and ideas for getting more girls into engineering!
