Volunteers Needed for Stevenage Coding Clubs!

Hello!

We are in the the process of setting up our first ever CoderDojo club, here at our Stevenage office!  CoderDojo  is a global movement of free, volunteer-led,  community based programming clubs for young people. At a Dojo, young people, between 7 and 17, learn how to code, develop websites, apps, programs, games and explore technology in an informal and creative environment. In addition to learning to code attendees meet like minded people and are exposed to the possibilities of technology.

We have a handful of volunteers signed up to help but we are always looking for more, as their commitments may change.  Our first Dojo is scheduled to run towards the end of April, on a Saturday, in Stevenage between 13:00 - 16:00.

Here is a link to a webinar that we recorded, explaining more about the initiative.  You may also download the attached file to view the slide deck.

If you are interested in getting involved and helping 7 - 17 year olds gain some fantastic coding skills, please contact me at womensnetwork@theiet.org

Kindly note, you do not have to have experience in coding to volunteer for this initiative.

I look forward to hearing from you!
