What do you want from the IoT TPN?

The IoT TPN is still developing and we'd love to hear your ideas on what you want the TPN to do or get involved in?

► What hot topics should we be involved in?

► Are there gaps in IoT that the TPN should cover?

► What activities could the TPN put on?

Any thoughts would be welcome!

  • As an embedded developer getting into secure IoT communications, I'm seeing a huge expertise shortage in this area. Some very clever tiny devices to aid secure implementation, and a lot of vague talk about the need for cyber security, but very little in depth expertise. A number of silicon vendors have great little devices, for example Atmel, and people like Amazon are putting in place the cloud aspect, but as for training courses and application engineers able to support these developments, things are very thin. It would be nice to see the IET champion some practical hands-on embedded IoT security events.
