There was a fascinating programme on the BBC the other night about building a huge 187-tonne, five-carriage electric train . I confess, I didn't see it all but will be watching it back on iPlayer:
I'm no engineer but the number of processes and inventions that must have been created to build it was a real eye opener and a credit to engineering. I will definitely be thinking differently the next time I board a train.
