is there any online EV charger supplier in UK who can ship EV chargers with PEN fault protection to India?

  • Going off on a slight tangent - would UK style open-PEN units work reliably on the Indian system? Most work on the assumption that the L-N voltage is within UK ESQCR limits and if it drifts out of that will trip out presuming a PEN fault. UK limits are between 216.2V and 253V at the supply - with open PEN units tripping out if the voltage goes outside 207V...253V which allows for some normal voltage drop within the installation. I gather that the Indian spec is for down to 207V at the supply so even in a compliant installation it could well be a lot lower than 207V at the charge point - risking a lot of false tripping. Some have even suggested that in practice Indian supplies might not always be entirely compliant with specifications either.

    Does India use PME/TN-C-S?

No it wouldnt . We need this only for research purpose. We will have a variable power source and try understanding the PEN fault circuit.

Most earthing in India uses TN-S system

  • Might be worth looking at a Myenergi Zappi V2.  Their website states the unit has the following

     Built-in Protection
        RCD Protection
        Loss of PEN Conductor
        Loss of PE
        Welded Contact
        Over-current
        Over and Under-voltage
        Thermal Limit

    Inline with BS7671

  • Given that you may want a custom one, have you considered a direct approach to  makers?

I have no connection to them but  https://matt-e.co.uk/contact-matte/ for example have in house design expertise rather than just being a re-seller.
