BS7671 Periodic Inspection and Test Certificates

We have a domestic HMO property, and have always had it tested under a "Periodic Inspection and Test" in accordance with Part 6 of the Regulations.

Why is it now deemed necessary for "Electrical Condition Surveys" to now be produced for such proeprties under Addendum 1.

Looking through the new ones we have seen, what more does this certificate bring and why the change from this long standing form of certification?

So, in this instance where the Inspector produced a PIR, this would not be acceptable to sat the Council adminsiterng the HMO scheme?
