Principle changes as listed within the revised document:
removal of Grades B and E
subdivision of Grades D and F into D1/D2 and F1/F2
revision of Table 1 (grade selection table)
updating references to other standards (tidying up where references made to outdated documents)
new table on testing and servicing by grade
new recommendation to prevent blocking or delaying of FA signals transmitted via social alarm systems in sheltered housing
increase in recommended standard of protection in sheltered housing flats from LD2 to LD1
new recommendations for fire detection in supported housing
new recommendation that communal fire alarm systems should not normally be installed in purpose-built blocks of flats
revised and expanded recommendations for Grade C.
No doubt there will be other small things dotted around the document but these are the one BSI are highlighting.
