Here we are, time to start checking in.

From experience, one tip is to open the compose window in a new window by holding 'shift' while clicking on the 'reply' (or 'quote') and this will solve the problem.

When you hit the reply button you can scroll down the compose window page and see the full topic thread too! Moving between the pages doesn't close the compose window either (the compose field stays at the top) so you should be able to refer to other posts within it. 


Thanks for the shift click tip Alasdair Anderson‍  I also use the good old right click and 'open link in new tab' feature in the browser quite a lot.


Don't forget the quote tool in the editing tools as well, as that will help to format any text you input as a quote.

But on the other forum I can quote anything I can put in the copy und paste buffer - eg bits of a regulation or legislation - I dont seem able to do that here.

It can be done - any arbitrary text can be made to look quote like - after pasting (or typing) the text, select (highlight) it and hit the quote ( ˝ ) button on the toolbar.

I'd prefer a sleeve glass personally to a jug, but at a push it'll do.

in the chooser, pick the  blue sleeve glass . In the final post it will come out as a yellow jug. The software is far to complex for its own good, it would be better if the preview and the final image were the same.

Why are some people's names broken up onto two lines at the top left in some cases? It looks very odd.
