Old Delta (Δ) Service Head Cut-Out

Good morning all,


During a survey, i came across what seems to be a very old Delta Cut-Out (attached picture for reference).


I contacted Eaton (who as far as i know now own Delta) but they couldn't provide me with any information on it.


I believe it is a fused cut out installed by the local DNO and directly connected to the LV network or to an adjacent substation, but can anyone please confirm?


Any information would be helpful.

    It isn't sealed...... it might be waiting for the "seal fairy" to turn up!


    I doubt if it is filled with bitumen, but as today's work was to do with one of these and back on site tomorrow (I'm trying to give up consecutive days working!) I'll have a knock.
