Old Delta (Δ) Service Head Cut-Out

Good morning all,


During a survey, i came across what seems to be a very old Delta Cut-Out (attached picture for reference).


I contacted Eaton (who as far as i know now own Delta) but they couldn't provide me with any information on it.


I believe it is a fused cut out installed by the local DNO and directly connected to the LV network or to an adjacent substation, but can anyone please confirm?


Any information would be helpful.

    The lower part shoulc contain  an earth clamp to the cable armour, and is probably filled with tar.




    Looks more like a good old Jubilee clip to me!


    Jubilee clip? Perhaps the black thing is a water pipe?


    Anyway the Delta box has a sticker on it stating that it is Bar Coded.
